Bio
« rinôçérôse » est un groupe français fondé en 1997 par Jean-Philippe Freu et Patrice Carrié, originaires de Montpellier, psychologues de métier, qui mixe musique rock et electro.
Le Mobilier, de leur deuxième album Installation Sonore, fût le single qui les propulsa sur la scène internationale de la dance-music.
Le titre Cubicle aux sonorités rock, auquel a collaboré le groupe Infadels et tiré de l’album Schizophonia, fut la bande-son d’une publicité télévisée pour deux produits de la marque Apple (iTunes et iPod) en 2006.
Avec "Funktional music", « rinôçérôse » marque un retour aux instrumentaux de leurs premiers albums. Fidèles à leur éclectisme, à leur boulimie musicale, on retrouve ici l'influence sans cesse revendiquée du vieux frère Robert Smith, croisant avec génie aussi bien Booker T que George Benson. Ces onze nouvelles compositions, empreintes de funk, nous embarquent des plages de Rio aux clubs de Chicago.
Leur nouveau single « Fighting the Machine » est utilisé en guise de générique de l’émission de Cyril Hanouna, Touche pas à mon Poste.
